Eye Condition Treatment
Eye problems range from mild to severe, with some chronic and others resolving on their own. You should see your eye doctor if your eyes feel uncomfortable or if your vision changes.
Below are common eye conditions we treat, including astigmatism, dry eye syndrome, and presbyopia. For information on cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy, visit our eye disease management page.
Astigmatism: This is a common and treatable imperfection in the curvature of your eye that causes blurred distance and near vision. It often occurs with nearsightedness or farsightedness, and can usually be corrected with eyeglasses, contact lenses, or refractive surgery.
Dry Eye Syndrome: A condition in which a person doesn't have enough quality tears to lubricate and nourish the eye. Symptoms include discomfort, irritation, and sometimes blurred vision. We offer various treatments to provide lasting relief and identify the root cause of your dry eyes.
Presbyopia: This is the gradual loss of your eyes' ability to focus on nearby objects. It's a natural, often annoying part of aging. Presbyopia usually becomes noticeable in your early to mid-40s and worsens until around age 65. It can be corrected with reading glasses, bifocals, multifocal contact lenses, or surgery.

- Dry eye syndrome (DES) is a chronic condition that develops when your eyes do not produce and maintain enough tears to keep the eye’s surface lubricated.
